Audacity 1.0.0 would it work with OS8.6

Has anyone used this on a Mac here? I have a Power Mac 7600/120 with OS8.6 on it. I saw somewhere I could use this with OS 8.6 but the web site says OS9 so could it work? Hopefully or would I have to upgrade to 9.0

Just try it and see. I seem to recall having success with Audacity on my 3400c running 8.6 back in the day. But my memory was never any good, and it hasn't gotten better.

Never tried it but take a shot. Chances are it will work unless they built in an OS checker.
