Yep, and it's before Apple started to muck around with the interface. I tried to use iMovie '08 (version 7.1.4) today to throw together some HD video clips quickly, and I didn't even recognize the interface. Eventually I figured it out, but version 2 is much more intuitive. Make sure to grab the 2.1.1 update to avoid frustrating crashes with big projects (trust me!).
