If by "rejecting" you mean it spits the floppy out on boot, try doing the dd command I suggested earlier because I remember having a similar problem with my LC II that was fixed with the dd command.

To be honest, I have zero experience with Linux, I don't have access to a Linux distro (Or even knew if I did?).

The Windows version of dd may be able to do it (the path to the floppy drive in this version will be "\\.\A:" without the double quotes).

The files from the mac site posted earlier are also not all the same size, I thought that an Image would be 144MB or atleast all the same size, which they are not.

Use these images (certified by me) and the above mentioned technique of imaging with the dd for Windows.
