Hello everyone
This conquest is not mine, but a friend of mine. He picked up a great shape iBook G4 1.2GHz model with 30GB Hard Drive 512 ram and a carrying case for about $75 CAD. The only catch was that it was from a school and they said that he had to install his own version of Mac OS X. Now he is not that computer literate, so he asked me to install OS X on it for him. Needless to say I gladly accepted. I only had 10.4 discs, so it went from 10.5 to 10.4 but other then that it worked perfect. Battery holds up for a long time, and hardly any cosmetic damage. And the best part is because he lives 400kms away from me, I get to play with it for two weeks

Very nice deal. The iBooks are still good machines and are getting cheaper and cheaper as ppl move to intels.
Sweet
The later G4 'Books are really getting cheap these days, now that people are being affected by the whole 'SWEET JEEBUS this thing won't run *all* the latest stuff' syndrome with the Intel switch. Because everybody knows that a computer becomes obsolete and useless the moment an app comes out that it won't be able to run :

I've got the 1.07GHz 12" model, a very nice machine indeed especially with Tiger. Rather than replace it for 2009 i've just ordered a brand new battery for it so it should see some additional use yet...
i actually like the form factor of the 12 inchers better then the 14 inch ibooks
