Actually, I live in a cold climate that probably receives more bitter weather and more snow than most parts of the midwest.

As for transporting computers on a bike, I have two comments on that:

a) Some of us are beyond the point where we feel the urge to "liberate" basements full of obsolete computer equipment. Even if we did have the urge to do it once or twice a year, it would be cheaper to take a cab than own a car. (Or to rent a van, if you have a license, which I don't.) But like I said, some of us are beyond that point. Acquiring old equipment is just plain old materialism, just like any other form of materialism. (And yes Mike, I understand that your situation is a bit different since you actually run a business.)

B) Have you ever heard of sleds, shopping carts, and trailers? The first two are good for walking, while the latter can attach to a bike. You still won't be able to make huge hauls like that, but you can certainly carry a few desktops that way.

Let's face it. Some of you are a slave to two machines: the computer and the automobile.
