A box from Newegg came today. In it was:

2 SATA cables

Transcend 2.5" SATA HD case (N82E16817349007)

Seagate 1.5 TB (yes, terabyte) SATA HD (N82E16822148337)

D-Link 5-port gigabit ethernet switch (N82E16833127083)

I'm slowly starting to move away from the life of 10/100 and IDE stuff, as you can tell. :p

I'll probably put the 1.5 TB HD in my Optiplex, and move the Optiplex's 200GB HD to the ThinkCentre M50 I just got. The HD case already has an 80GB 2.5" drive in it, and the gigabit switch is in place.

I'm kinda excited. :)

1.5TB? Yea well you will get married before that sucker is finished formatting in Windows. ;)

Should of got a WD instead of Seagate, in my opinion. There have been lots of problems with the Seagate ones. Anyway, NICE. :)

Conquests: Discuss your latest finds!

I suppose so. He found it, it just so happened that someone wanted some money before they shipped 'em ;)

Well I thought about that too, but I was just really really happy to finally get it all. I thought it'd get here Friday, but it took the (long) weekend to arrive here.

I prefer WD and Seagate over anything else. I've never had a Seagate drive die on me

Don't forget to backup that HD to floppy disk! ;)

Sometimes I pay for an old Mac but it still feels like a conquest when I do :)

you allow your bank account to be conquered by outside forces.

you roll a 3.

It's a conquest, I think, if you get the Mac for free or you save it from doom, such as paying for it at the recycler.
