I might swap out the power supply for the one from my 475 tonight. I did some searching on Google Shopping and found some that looked to be new and a few that claimed to be refurbished. I may buy a pair of refurbs if I can't find a new one (in case one doesn't work) but want to try the known good 475 power brick tonight first to rule out other causes, especially with the annoying video problems.

Given the odor from the power supply I'm willing to bet it's the cause...anyone concur?
