The Dell TrueMobile 1150, for example, is essentially an Orinoco, and will be recognized as such by the Mac OS. The Airport drivers will work automatically; no need for third-party hacks. Cards based on other chipsets (e.g., Prism, Prism II, etc.) will require manual installation of drivers. AFAIK, only Lucent-based cards will be Plug-'n'-Play in OS9.
