I prefer edge connectors compared with the 96 way connectors used by NuBUS.
ISA, EISA, PCI, S-100, MultiBUS all used edge connectors.
PCMCIA/PC-Card/Cardbus, another type of card I hate due to experience, is another that has pin connectors.
