I´ve been using CPUs since 1984 - Macs since 1992 - and over those years quite a lot of hardware came around. Most of it I tend to keep [xx(] ]'> as there are:
IIcx, IIci, PowerMac 8200, PowerMac 7500, PowerMac 9600, Power Mac G5 Dual, Sun Sparc 20 Dual, Sun Ultra 1, a big pile of Intelstuff (one of them is running on OSX 10.5) ... and my old Commodore C128 running GEOS [:I] ]'>
Seen, installed and modified a lot of OSs during that time (Started on a Commodore PET at school in the early 80s) from System 6 up to OSX, A/UX (on the IIci) OpenStep (on Intel and Sparc), Rhapsody, BeOS, Linux, Solaris (even had a i486 running Intel Solaris 2.5.1) and of cause all that MS**** ...
My first PowerMac was a 6100/60 that I sold, but that was such a nice machine, I decided to keep the code name [

Making a living as storageadmin mainly on emc hardware now, I´ve been a Solarisadmin for quite some years.

Hello and welcome. If you like crazy OS mods, you'll be in good company here
Stepped into this forum while looking for OS X Server 1.2 to install on my PM9600 and I was suprised to find a place where people seem to get along like in "the old days" of the internet. That is very rare these times, I like that! [... you'll be in good company here![]()
] ]'>And yes, I´m into getting older and rather obscure OSs to run. The IIci currently has A/UX and has seen NetBSD, too. Managed to start Rhapsody DR1 on the 9600 and on the Intelstuff. But it´s some strange hobby: As soon the OS is up and running, I´m looking for a new way get something else going. Think one time, when I retire, there might be some kind of Mid90sLinux running on my dishwasher communicating with the fridge. [}

Welcome to the forum!
My 8500, 8600, Q700, BeigeG3MT, B&W, Sawtooth, G5, PB5300 and pile o' Ti'Books and my Albook are glad to see you!
The Sun Ultra 10 would say but it's busy looking for Aliens right now.
I do the same withing WRRT OS's. Load, tweak, move on. It's fun and I find it relaxing.
