I find that an old 10/100 Netgear switch works great as your utp bridge.  They're dirt cheap.

The ethernet card may or may not work when simply dropped in.  If it doesn't work, you may have to do a fresh install of System 6 or 7.  That may be a whole other kettle of fish for you, though.
