a portable 300 baud terminal with thermal printer, acoustic coupler and what looks like an RS232 port. Works just fine and even has a partial roll of the heat sensitive paper.

Heh. Add a one line, 16 character blue VFD alphanumeric display and it sounds like the one I bought from the local recycler for a buck recently.
