Try running ProPresenter on one of the those.

Mine has almost the same specs. The only differenence is that it has the Geforce 2 and radeon 7000. Also it has 1.25Ghz of ram and Leopard.

I'm thinking the way it chugs has to do with the crappy video cards. :-/
