Can a PowerMac G4 boot from Striped RAID?

So far both 10.2 or 10.4 won't do it.

Jag boots to a KP, and Tiger goes to an Open Firmware problem.

It says

Code:
DEFAULT CATCH!, code=300 at %SRR0: ff80b5f8 %SRR1: 0000b030
It's striped using Apple's drivers?

I think the G5 was the first to support booting with Apple's RAID drivers. Some forum posts indicated MDD may also support this. Xserve definitely supports this.

I used a RAID 0 on my G5 for years, but switched to non-RAID when I upgraded to Leopard. It's not any slower, I don't have that much data (I'm only using 38 GB out of 232 GB), and I changed the other drive to a Time Machine drive, which is a lot safer.
