I can ping the machine, but I can't connect to it with it running Netpresentz.

1. Can you ping from it, ie, running MacPing?

2. Can you run NSCA Telnet from it and connect to another host?

3. Can you run fetch and connect to another host?

4. Does appletalk/ethertalk work?

I think that it is working, else you shouldn't be able to ping (and get a reply I am assuming) the box.
