Update. I have done so many things I can't remember, but here is the current status. All DIP switches are off on the card. MACtcp 2.06 is installed and I have the opendns server id's set up. I can ping from the SE to google.com and it returns fine every time. I can ping my PC, but it fails sometimes. I can ping the SE from the PC and it works fine every time. I set up sharing, a user, etc on the SE but when trying to connect with Filezilla it errors out. MACtcp throws an error and I have to restart it before I can try again. I can sometimes connect to it by manually connecting from the PC. The connection between the PC and SE is flaky.

I installed Netpresenz, and it seems to fare a little better. With filezilla, if the connection is lost, it retries and Netpresenz does not fail. So, I have been able to transfer files over to the SE from the PC although it takes a while. I moved both SE and PC to the router instead of the switch-same. I moved both to the switch-same. I think my router is getting ready to fail though, as when the antenna is on it has taken to emitting an annoying high-pitched buzz that it never made before. Also it freezes sometimes and I need to reset it so that is not making testing any easier! I will be getting a new router soon, so there really is no point testing further until that is replaced.

I am sure I have something configured incorrectly. I do have some more testing to do though, so I will update when I have more info.
