PowerBook 1400c/166
Picked this one up on LEMswap a few days ago.
It's a 166MHz 603(e?) processor, 40 MB built-in RAM, stock 1 GB hard drive, OS 8, floppy drive.
I did replace the stock hard drive, which was showing signs of failure (clicking noises), with an Apple-ROMed 40 GB iBook G4 drive. Loaded OS 8.6 on it (had to stick it in my G3; no CD-ROM drive) and popped in my Lucent WaveLAN card. No problems at all.
I plan on using it for word processing, as well as email and web browsing. I was strongly considering using it as my main machine, but I'm not positive yet. Web browsing is tolerable with IE 5.1, but it's certainly not ideal, and slow too.
