You guys may have heard of this dude before, Herb Johnson? Apparently he has a bunch of cool and semi rare stuff for sale, including 6100 Nubus Adaptors, which I just asked about ordering from him:

I bought a couple of FPUs for LCII a while back from him.

Yeah, you might want to search this forum for his name.... just a tip. :-/

Whoops...sorry. Me = lazy today. I did search, and lo, there was knowledge!

Yep, he has a ton of good stuff!

I too recommend Mr. Johnson as a merchant. I have purchased several items from him and find his prices reasonable, his service and knowledge of the products excellent, and the shipping to be quick. He always has some great stuff in his inventory as well and has been in the business for some time (I think I first came across his page about ten years ago). Definitely an A+ merchant in my book.

I dealt with him once, when I ran out of all other options trying to find a Mac Plus keyboard.

The keyboard was ultimately $15 + $10 shipping for one with uneven fading.

When I mentioned I was looking for a SCSI to Ethernet adapter, but that I currently was a high bidder for one on eBay, his response was "I don't compete with eBay." and a link to his page where he listed some adapters and wanted some outrageous prices for them.

Then I inquired about getting an old Apple HD SC 20 case to stick under my Mac Plus. He had one listed as "Very Faded" for $20. When I asked about that, he replies back and says that one is gone and links to his page explaining the cases he has. He jacked up the price of the same "Very Faded" case to $29 and the prices of all the other cases. I told him I was no longer interested in paying $9 more for the case that was only $20 a day ago. He did discount the price of the keyboard by $4 though (from $19).

So I had a somewhat mixed experience with Herb.

I would say he is getting his stuff from schools or recyclers like I usually do. It looks like he parts off anything that's yellowed.

Apple ADB mouse: $25 + shipping

AppleDesign Keyboard: $25 + shipping

DB-15 to VGA: $15 + shipping

There are a lot of reasonable prices on that page, with a few anomalies.

An Apple ADB mouse is worth a lot less than $25.

You want to know what normal, realistic prices are like? Take a look at this site: http://digitaldinos.com/ This DigitalDinos guy has sane, believable prices. I've purchased stuff from him. I'll probably buy more later.
