Of course, to keep things Macintosh, when using the Mac hardware, use the provided drivers, don't dive into programming the SCC chip yourself or whatever.
I'm not sure I fully understand. What do you mean by "use the provided drivers"? Does this mean, "use the SCSI Manager" or something else? Also, I assumed that I would be making a custom SCC chip, is this ridiculous?

I realize people often bite off more than they can chew when they get into these things. I was just hoping to get enough information to play with the SCSI a bit. Turn on an LED for example, then see where I want to go with it. I have no intention of trying to create a SCSI <-> SD bridge yet.
