What's so great about this "bargain bin flat imitation tropical fishtank" is the modern lookin' wide aspect ratio of the "tank's" wavy plastic face. Add to that the fact that the wavy clear plastic is flexible enough to conform to the curvature of ALL 4 SIDES of what remains of the very much trimmed back edges monitor bezel! Not to mention the 2.25 inches lopped off the height of the bezel to achieve the wide aspect ratio.
I've separated the domed section of the monitor enclosure from the curved roof section. The whole thing will be mounted on an upward pivoting parallelogram unit so it'll stay up on its own when raised. This will allow easy access to the extra optical drive and the removable drive cages I plan to mount in the monitor bay.
