Just bad news I'm sorry to say, KnuckleHead never made it onto the U-Haul truck for the trek to NC . . . :-/By the way, on a semi-related note, at about the same time as you did the TrashCanMacHack, I also seem to remember you working on a hack called "KnuckleHead", which involved doing something with the chassis from the 5260...any news on that?
I remember you liked it, it was basically the 5260's monitor cage hinged onto the chassis of a LaserWriter so that it could do the "Pivot Thing," but it didn't make the cut. The nicest thing about it was its ability to usilize Letter & Legal sized paper trays as "project boxes" for prototyping new electronics/testing out different bridged '030 I/O bus flavors and that kind of hardware scullduggery.
The Testbeds I brought along were the two headed DuoDock with the jumpered ROM mod and my precious BAbyPB slung underneath the minamalist 230/with the functional LCD on the docking connector level. The other is my NASA Mac Luggable, which is slated for a multiple hack testbed mobo replacement at some point. This one may become unnecessary if my notion of substituting the Mini'Dock DeclROM for the DeclROMs in the DuoDock a/o Duodock II.
THAT would make things much too easy, but just a little bit more complicated in terms of the Power Budget for the ultimate DuoBoomBoxHack that's been on the back burner of my brain for so long.
Whatever . . . what do you think of the modernistic wide aspect ratiod "look" for the upward-pivoting fascia waterless Macquarium" ambient/indirect lighting generator & chock foll-o-drive cages media server concept?
BTW, I tested the "boxed set" mobo/2 slot/riser combo & it's a 50 mHZ 6500 unit with a USB card thrown into the mix.
