There are alot of things people can do to get banned, most usually it's either repeated use of foul language (warnings are always given prior to kicks and bans, some users ignore them), harassment in channel (which leads to harassment in PM which is a big no-no), and constantly starting fights in the channel.

I don't think anyone has been banned in a while, though at least once or twice a week someone gets kicked for foul language.
