Thanks everyone! I saved the Mac from certain death. I work for an archaeological company and we were doing some work at a farmstead. The owners were moving out at the time and were gone by the time we made a few subsequent trips to the property. They had been bought out by a coal company and took what they wanted and left the rest: mostly old books and junk. Well, we were evaluating the house for historic preservation and my boss walks into a room and was like "What kind of computer is *that*?!". My heart skipped a beat because I knew only a Macinstosh would get a reaction like that. I peeked in and saw it sitting in the corner of the room along with a bunch of other junk scattered around the floor. I knew I had to save it. This coal company had already dozed two other farmsteads before we were able to do our work on those properties so I knew this one didn't have long since we were already close to finishing up. Anyway, I thought it deserved a better fate than to be buried in a pile of rubble.
