800K Floppies and Carmen USA!!!
I stopped in a Goodwill computer store today to check out what they had. The prices were good on some items, OK on others. However, one display that I was drawn to was NOS floppy disks. I found not one but two boxes of 800K floppies at $1.95 each!
I opened one of the boxes, which looked to be old (it said Verbatim was a Kodak company on the front, which I don't think it has been for some time) and found disks with the little blue Verbatim label on them inside (these haven't been sold in nearly 20 years). There was also a coupon book for various items that could be obtained with proofs of purchase. I was going to fill out the one for a disk box (which I'm guessing is the famous black Verbatim box) for one proof of purchase but I saw the expiration date and I think I'm just a little bit too late--the offer expired September 30, 1989.
When I got home I found the Carmen USA I bought a few days ago on eBay had arrived--which means I now have a copy for my Classic II (this is my third copy of Carmen USA overall). A great day for Mac conquests indeed!!!

Nice! 800k floppies are always nice to have. My only source of them are wiping old ones I have laying around here.
BTW, did you get my PM regarding payment for shipping?

Nice score.
Yeah, Verbatim is now owned by Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation (according to wiki) and have actually been owned by Mitsu since 1990.

That's always fun stuff to find. For some reason It feels good to have something that aged out years ago.
