Yeah. I'm on my 6th Cobalt now. Pretty damn expensive.

I put the old cars in the dumpster (I work out. A LOT). No recycling or anything.

Im a techno type, with a masters in electronic engineering so maybe i think different (C apple) but the vibe i got from the forum here was "rip that joker apart and make it work"
seems like some gear lube and cleaning on a 2$ vcr wasn't that big of a deal

Not worth the time, for the little use that it got. I have a DVD Recorder/VHS Combo unit now which makes digitizing tapes a lot more convenient.
