Apple Remote Access question

I need to be able to remotely access our network/internet connection while away from home. If I were to connect to an Apple Remote Access server, I know it would allow me to access the AppleTalk network, but would it also allow me to connect to our TCP/IP network, including our internet connection? After searching, I've found some info that would indicate yes, but others say no. Any help is appreciated.

My understanding is yes, assuming you are running a version that supports it at both ends.

But also consider OT/PPP. I thought this supported both AppleTalk and IP over PPP.
