Well, I downloaded Ubuntu from the link provided by macgeek417 (a 4 hour process at 70KB) and put the iso image on an empty HD on the G$ MDD. Upon double clicking the image I get "the disk image may be damaged, opening it may cause damage to your system". What?? I know nothing about Linux so any thoughts would be most welcome. I'm somewhat loathe to risk the Tiger load currently running the G4.
