The M2943 is one of the most brittle displays I have ever seen. Most other Apple displays hold up fairly well, but every single M2943 I have is crumbling - even the ones with perfectly colored plastic!

It is quite obviously an outsourced Apple monitor, but not one of the good ones, like the Performa Plus Display. While fairly boring looking and limited to only one resolution, the Performa Plus has been a reliable, bright, sharp display even after all this time. The OEM is Magnavox if I recall.
