Freecycle iMac
From a local Freecycle pickup. Blueberry 400mhz DVD. 256mb ram and 10gb hard drive. Needs a keyboard. So far it works fine. Not sure what I'll do with it. Maybe I'll use it for classic OS games. This was the first conquest for me in quite a while.
Great conquest! I love those G3 iMacs as secondary machines. Still very usable, and even their AIO design makes opening them up a little labor-intensive, they're still surprisingly easy to get inside and upgrade.
I love G3 iMacs! I have two myself, a Rev A Tray loader, and a Rev A Slotloader! (350mhz!)
The SlotLoaders are very easy to upgrade IMO.

I loaded os 9.2.2 and 10.3.9 on it. The only problem it has is that CDs have trouble ejecting all the way. Any thoughts on how to fix this? I took the bottom cover off and the drive looks pretty clean inside.
Very common problem. Not much you can do about it - the ejection mechanism gets old.I loaded os 9.2.2 and 10.3.9 on it. The only problem it has is that CDs have trouble ejecting all the way. Any thoughts on how to fix this? I took the bottom cover off and the drive looks pretty clean inside.
