Over 500 sold...

This week I finished off my first reel of 500 47uF tantalum capacitors. Woohoo.

I haven't been keeping records so I'm not sure exactly how many old Mac logic boards repaired that translates to. Most folks get eleven 47uF caps for SE/30s or IICIs but some foiks only get four for Classic IIs. So probably in the neighborhood of 45 - 50 old Macs repaired, or intended to be repaired by persons buying capacitors.

Great news! I'll be getting a set for my Classic II at some stage too. I haven't opened it yet to see what the inside story looks like.

Thats cool, I probably used over 100 electrolytic caps myself so far this year.

Yes thanks to you trag I resurrected three wonderful Macs (2 x SE/30s - both sadly have other IC problems though), and an 840AV. Out of interest - I've noticed many "high end" Macs around the Mac II/Quadra 700/Quadra 950 era have little to no capacitors - any reason why, and could you assume these Macs will ultimately last longer?

I recommend trag's service to all, and might be sourcing more in future from him!
