You can extract a functional 9.2.2 install from the OS9 netboot available on Apple's site. I did run it on my 1ghz Titanium (everything the same as your's, all hardware except slower CPU), but it made it run INCREDIBLY hot, stressed the hard drive out where it actually failed (had 0 bad sectors according to SMART Utility right before I did it) COMPLETELY two hours after I got it running. Maybe a bunch of coincidences, but something was not right. The only other way to get 9.2.2 running is the system specific 9.2.2 disk it came with, but it's hard to find, but fully functional or hack together another 9.2.2 image with the correct ROM, which may be difficult. I have heard of people pulling ROMs from Mac Test Pro images to make things like this work in unsupported OS9 machines.
