In some other threads a few of us were discussing the possibility of using the Duo MiniDock ROM in the DuoDock for achieving full Dock services WITH the LCD enabled.
To get the Duo's LCD to work while in the DuoDock it's necessary to do something nasty like the PowerPinJumperHack™ or better yet, desolder the Chip Enable Line's leg from its pad and then wire pad and leg to a switch.
With the DeclROM powered down or unselectable, the Dock still provides NuBus support, but most of the other Dock Services remain dormant. If the MiniDock's PLCC Packaged DeclROM can be adapted to the DuoDock's DeclROM IC Package Type with a two-way switch installed to the two ChipSelectHacked™ ICs, either of the DeclRoms can be tested and . . .
. . . we MAY be able to achieve full dock services, including NuBus and utilize the extra VRAM in the DuoDock to add more resolutions/color depth than the Duo MiniDock provides.
