I'm late to this party. So the object is to run both the Duo's LCD and an external monitor plugged into the dock? I thought the dock & mini-dock had their own video chip & RAM to drive external monitor, so the improved color depth would only apply to the external monitor, not the Duo's LCD, right? I have to admit it never occurred to me to run the dock without its lid and with the Duo open. :scrambled:

I wonder if you can still buy EPROMs that fit in that ZIF socket and program one with the mini-dock ROM code.
