Correct! :beige: ATM my DuoDock testbed (the one with the inelegant PowerPinJumperHack™) is running off the LCD and a Radius NuBus Card along with the PAS 16 Sound Card. When the DuoDock or DDII is missing its ROM, the NuBus ChipSet keeps on truckin! [

If so, the MiniDock DeclROM may restore full DuoDock Services and possibly even provide support for the announced, but never delivered, (imagine that :
) PC-Card MiniDock under this theoretical "UNIVERSAL" MiniDock DeclROM Spec. Another possibility would be that like the NuBus ChipSet, T-REX might not need DeclROM "support" at all, there is plenty of space in said ASIC for any necessary setup code!If not, I've got the necessary, openly published, Developer Documentation to make changes to any of the various DeclROMs in hand a/o on disk!
The name of the mfr. escapes me ATM, but they produced all Mini/MicroDocks sporting the Apple logo, as well as a line of their own. The empty space under the UltraDock LoBo, hacked to contain the Duo's power adapter by the keeper of the "House of Duo" web page, leads me to believe that the 1400's PC-Slot DaughterCard, with the T-REX ASIC on the bottom, was meant to be housed in that very same space! I saw it mentioned in a post that the LCD worked with the lid off and the "ROM" disabled so I made a WAG, researched what turned out to be the well documented Declaration ROM, AKA DeclROM, spec and committed the FUGLY PowerPinJumperHack™ on my unsuspecting DuoDock. This research was done for the, unrealized, DuoBoomBoxDock™ Hack. I needed to determine whether the MiniDock LoBo might support the NuBus ChipSet, enabling me to do an adaptation of the IIsi's NuBus adapter. This in turn, would provide support for the PAS 16 required to get Stereo Sound out of a Duo.
NoPro, ANY ROM, EPROM, or even a combination of smaller, Neolithic PROMs will do! For the moment, I'm noodling out the adapter card necessary to replace the DD's DeclROM package on one side and the DDII's DeclROM package on the other, with the wiire-wrap prototyping socket pictured above mounted in between.
