I'll make this first post brief 'cause I know all you nuts are just in it for the pictures.

Normally I'm not to interested in pre-SE macs, but when I was given an offer for a 512ke with a "boatload of stuff" (for free) it was kind of hard to turn down. Nah, it was impossible to turn down! In any case, it belonged to a friend of my dad's who bought it new way back when and used it as a regular workhorse until it was replaced somewhere down the line with whatever replaced it and then tossed back into its boxes to wait until today!

As of this writing I have not yet turned it on, but so far, this is what I have inventoried:

- The 512k Enhanced, serial F6403GUM0001E and manual

- Original (presumably) keyboard and mouse (including that ridiculous RJ11 cable) Somewhat worn, but nothing terrible, a bit of cleaning would be fine.

- ImageWriter II, with manual and power cable (and a plastic cover)

- Few hundred sheets of tractorfeed, silverfish free

- Two boxes of floppies, looks like system disks and some games and software, haven't gone through it all

- Few manuals and books about Macs in general and Microsoft Works

- Kensington system saver in the box, with a cover

- Peculiar little mouse caddy stickied to the side of the mac, Kensington branded

- Two of those yellow dummy floppy disks

- An external 800k drive, also with the manual and cover

- Two boxes of 3M computer cleaning stuff? I dunno I haven't looked.

So, as I said I've never had a pre-SE mac before, so this will be quite an adventure, and I'll be spending more time than usual in the compact mac forums. Similarly, I have not yet fired it up as I knew you guys would be wanting a baseline report as soon as possible.

In case you missed the link at the top, here's another link to the pictures, which will be updated as I go along.
