I've recently relocated my Color Classic from my mom's house, where it's lived happily since 1993 choking on cigarette smoke.

I think it is going to need a recapping, and the 160meg hard drive in it gave up the ghost. I'm also about to to a full teardown and de-yellowing soak in h202 and Oxy Clean.

Any thoughts on if I can liberally coat everything electronic with contact cleaner and let that take the smoke smell out, or will I kill things if I do that?
