Well, I finally got that new display cable today. So I got right to it, I took apart my laptop and tried to fix it.

Sadly. It turns out to be the controller board on the LCD that's bad. Meaning I'll need to get a whole new screen. I'm not too disappointed. I'll probably leave the screen off the laptop until I get it replaced. (One day...)
