Color Classic Screen Color Issue

The screen of my Color Classic would intermittently go off color - as in the red would become greenish and so on. It was intermittent a few weeks ago, now it seems to be off color just almost all the time.

Any idea what the problem is?

Sounds like one of the colour guns is dying.

Had a similar issue - fixed by resoldering the cables going to the analogue board to the PCB plugged into the back of the tube.

It does sound like a dried out solder joint, somewhere in the red line. If it was a dying gun I wouldn't expect it to be intermittent at first.

I do want to learn! However, I have an one month old baby that I have to attend to right now, which leaves very little time for me to do anything!

I have now resorted to prayer ritual everytime before turning on my beloved Color Classic... everheard of baby sacrifice, hmm...
