There is a reason I do not have LCDs for all of my systems, but I do have a decent LCD for my primary system. It is just that with this I get high compatibility with past and future cards(DVI/VGA supports more of my systems out of the box without extra hardware that costs half of what I payed for the display). It is also newer so the backlight still has plenty of life left.(not an important factor for future consideration if you get one with an LED backlight)
Considering that you picked that and the display up for free(I am assuming?) It is understandable that you want to make use of it. After all, the only issue with that display really, is the ADC port and you have that rectified.*shrug*is a DVI to ADC converter and power supply
Most people do not have DVIators. But then I guess most Mac users never upgrade their hardware either(aside from RAM) and still use their ADC equipped graphics cards in their G4s.
