I'm fairly sure the guts of the 575 and 550 (apart from the logic board of course) are pretty much identical. The displays are the same (which is the most important factor), so it should be fine.

Both the 575 and 550 take the exact same RAM upgrades - one 72 pin SIMM. They both use the same LC PDS cards as well.
