You can put linux on about anything 
Some toasters, some fridges, my old 386-16.
My oldest mac with linux was a Performa 6300 I think. Been a long time since I booted that machine up.. It has an older version of YDL on it though.
The QS 933 should handle linux no problem at all. Suse Linux PPC just always installs very well for me. I know others have their favorite distros, but once Suse brought back PPC support that was great!
At work I even have a IBM AS/400 machine with Quad 603E 233 cpus running Suse PPC - It was one of the few distros I could install via serial port console. No active graphics display on that box either so it runs pretty well since it doesn't have to deal with X windows or a gui at all locally.
