Hi Folks....

Can anyone tell me the CFM and the dBA of the *original* Color Classic fan?

The original fan is 80 mm X 80 mm by 25 mm.  I believe the fan housing
can take at least 80 mm X 80 mm X 32 mm fan.

While I have my Color Classic apart, I thought I would install a fan
that is quieter, and if I am lucky, moves more air.  But I can not even
began to hunt for fans unless I know what the dBA and CFM of the
stock fan.

I strongly suspect that in the last 20 years, fans can move more air
and make less noise.  And they may be able to do it while drawing less
current.

I have looked high and low, but i am unable to find the CFM and DBA of
the original fan.

I have seen a replacement fan on a Color Classic FAQ.  It is a 80 mm X
80 mm X  25mm fan called a  PANAFLO FBA08A12L.  It is 12V, .1a, 1900
RPM, 21 dBA, and 24 CFM  But because I have no idea what the original
fan is, I do not know if this fan is noiser or moves more air around
or not.

Anyone have this information?  Anyone want to make an intelligent guess?
