Pismo Accident...Ugh...What Should I Expect?
Well, I seem to have had a triple-biorhythm low kind of day on Saturday - either that or I was just stupid! Managed to lose my glasses AND fry one of my Pismos, all within two hours...
I was installing a new RAM card and got working too fast doing the swaps...aaahhh, one of the batteries got left in...when I went to reboot, no go. VERY FORTUNATELY I had stripped all power from my others, so I only had one body at the end of the operation, not three.
I have shipped it off to the fellow that I bought my other two from...nice guy on the East coast...waiting to see what he tells me can be done. He thought it was probably going to take a new motherboard at least...
So, has anyone else done this stupid thing? And how much goes kablooey inside when this occurs?

Thanks, Mars. (What a great club.) Any advice re how much gets borked? Motherboard and processor card only, or more than that?
I haven't specifically killed a Pismo, I killed a Classic 2 and PB 150, by rushing, which you and I alike have done. I know nothing about Pismo's save for that they are nice powernbooks 
I take it from the context here that the motherboard stays powered alive if a battery is left in a Pismo eh?
That sucks... been there too. I fried my only IIGS motherboard back in the day when live pulling and reseating a TransWarpGS... I could have sworn that power supply light was out! Thank goodness it was only the motherboard at 349.00 swap that died and not the 499.00 TWGS at the time.

I'm hoping mine was 'just' the motherboard and the processor daughtercard...at current used prices, plus shipping to and from, the damage on mine might be as low as $80 or $90. But we'll just see... I'm hoping the LCD is ok, because it was a nice one, no pink at all.
