They tend to be aggregations of press releases, and actual products may not have actually shipped in the form described in such lists. I recommend looking for the comparison reviews, which give a better idea of how stuff really worked. Again, though, don't take the articles literally. Often the reviewers received early models (or even "specials") which may have detail differences with what shipped.
