I think for a while Apple had a plant in India where they churned out LCIIs, near the plant that churned out 1950's Morris Minors long after they were discontinued. Ask any PC sysadmin, they'll likely tell you more about it.

Funny to think, I'm one of the few people who actually wish it was true, that way I could buy a couple of new LCIIs to replace the ones I have with bad caps.
