maybe, if possible iMac conquest
my teacher has two of the older iMacs. one is a Blondi blue and the other is an indigo, i might be able to find some space in my room to keep it, now I need to convince my parents that i should get it if i do end up getting it, which one should I get? I all ready know the spces on the bondi blue and it would be cool to have the very first iMac
. as for the indigo i'm not sure on the spces but I know it faster than the Bondi Blue. So which one?
(any tips on convincing my parents would help)

Are you planning on actually using it for anything? If so, then go for the Indigo simply because its RAM is cheaper and easier to find, faster and a little nicer looking IMO. It'll be anywhere between 350MHz and 500. If you're just going to have it as a novelty item, the take the Bondi as it is the original iMac. You're sure that its actually an original Bondi right and not a later blueberry model?
Yeah, there were indigo and Bondi, and Blueberry. The blueberries were even down to 350mhz without firewire ports, The Bondi's went up to 333mhz (Rev D). I have a Rev A. iMac Bondi 233Mhz, and a Rev A iMac Slot Load Blueberry 350mhz without firewire.
Uh, Bondis were only available as either Rev. A or B.. There was no Bondi Rev. C or D, only Blueberry. Basically, it went like this:
Rev. A and B only got Bondi. As Henry Ford would say, you could buy any iMac you wanted, so long as it was Bondi.
Rev. C and D got the full five flavours - Blueberry (NOT Bondi), Strawberry, Grape, Lime, Tangerine
There were no "fruit flavoured" Rev. A or B's, or any Bondi Rev. C or D's. Any iMac that is either one of those is a Rev. A or B with Rev. C or D guts, or vice versa.

Really? Rev C and D were Blueberry?! I don't remember that.
yes I am going to use it for things, hopefully I'm going to use it to play some network games, word processing and maybe put some of my iTunes music on itAre you planning on actually using it for anything?

Yep, see for yourself. In comparison to the Bondi Rev. A.Really? Rev C and D were Blueberry?! I don't remember that.
Skip the Bondi then. You can run 10.4 (more than likely) on the Indigo and it'll outperfom the Bondi left and right. Faster CPU, faster system bus, and better graphics. Its also got MUCH nicer speakers (Harmon/Kardon) than the Bondi, so your iTunes music will be that much better.yes I am going to use it for things, hopefully I'm going to use it to play some network games, word processing and maybe put some of my iTunes music on itAre you planning on actually using it for anything?

well on the advice from Hrududu I'm going to be getting the Indigo iMac, a quick check on Mactracker, EveryMac.com and apple-history.com so that there are many more usability options for the Indigo iMacSkip the Bondi then. I keep everyone posted for when I receive it, this is going to be my first iMac
Minor note, the machine gets very hot.
hmm? is there a reason for that?
there are no fans, so don't put anything (like paper) on top of it, and don't leave it in a confined placehmm? is there a reason for that?
Oh well that actually makes sense
Absolutely. I can use my 700mhz model as a space heater in a small room if I leave it on all night.Minor note, the machine gets very hot.
Jobs always hated cooling fans and did his best to leave them out whenever possible.
