The stock 040 RA Adapter card is shown for reference.

It appears to be a RA adapter from a PPC603e PDS bridged to a 68040 PDS to me. :?:

In one of my former lives, I concentrated on snagging every bridged adapter card known to man and Mac collector. }:)

That would be the adapter from a 6100 DOS card (Houdini).

Cool, so it is a 603e <-> 68040 Bridged PDS adapter? :?:

Well, the 6100 is actually a 601 PPC, but yes.

It is claimed that only DOS cards will work on that adapter (if jruschme is correct in his ID). I wonder though if you could fool an '040 PPC Upgrade into working, and have ....

... uh, a 601 upgraded 601 :?:

If it were not for the date, I would have said it could also be for a Quadra 610. There was an adapter that allowed standard 040 pds cards to be used in them. I don't, however, have a Q610 to compare the slot with the pic.

Back when I was using q Q610, I wanted a DOS card. Real Quadra DOS cards were somewhat unobtainium, but 6100 cards were very common. IIRC, I picked up a 6100 DOS card from ebay and a 610 right angle adapter (for the PPC upgrade) from LEM Swap. All I had to do was move the DOS card to the other adapter.

Basically, the Q610 pds adapter is the other one in the picture.
