Mactracker is basically an eyeball level program that provides hardware and software specs of your Apple-branded product(s). It is good only to know what you have and what is under the hood, as far as stock parts goes.

I believe you should have no problems using the 68-pin to 50-pin adapter, provided that the SCSI ID on the drive and adapter are set to 0 and SCSI termination is enabled. If you have a non-Apple or non-Mac formatted drive, you will need to use a "patched" copy of Apple SC HD Setup 7.3.5 or Lido 7.6.5 or HWB Toolkit to format the hard drive to the correct partition type.
