the right angle adapter for the Power Mac AV card simply goes to another 601 PDS, so I can't see any reason as to why that wouldn't work

That's exactly what I said.

if this DOS card really does go in the 8100 PDS / maybe it *would* work

(you might have more luck finding a G3 card)

I seem to recall that nothing but a video card will work in the G3 card's PDS passthrough, for some reason.
