LC Smiley
Pretty much every desktop Mac from the later Plus to the "beige" G3 should be the same color "Platinum". The earlier Plus and before (including the LISA) should be the brownish-tan "Apple Beige". (That's right, the "beige" G3 is actually "Platinum". It's just that compared to the more colorful successors, it was considered to be beige.)
The pictures on the Low End Mac Plus page show the two colors fairly well. Yup, the top one is "Platinum", and is a color picture, not B&W.
If you want to see them in the exact same lighting, I can take a picture of my remarkably un-yellowed 128 next to my un-yellowed SE/30 so you can compare.
And if you really want to go nuts, I can include an Apple //c, which is the unique Snow White "Fog" color that was abandoned for "Platinum" for every later model. (All of my //c's were fairly yellowed when I got them, but I have cleaned one up so that it looks as close to original as I can figure.)
So, in short:
Lisa, Lisa 2, Mac XL, 128, 512, early Plus, 512Ke: "Apple Beige"
Apple IIc: Snow White "Fog"
Apple IIc+, later Mac Plus, SE, II, and all later through "beige" G3: "Apple Platinum"
(Other than the MacTV and PowerBooks, of course.)
Then there are the two colors of PowerBook, the early lighter gray, and the later darker gray. (And the mixed-shade 500-series!)

8-o I asked for a Quadra 605 with the APD on top days ago! That should be a better fit anyway, with the IIci/x under it, the Portrait Display looks too squat because of the height limitations.I can do that one
Pretty Please! The MicroQuadraFeetsMac™/Apple Portrait Display combo would be KILLER!
Maybe do it as a rolleyes with Lots of vertically oriented, elliptical travel for the eyes! }

We must be on the same wavelength, I considered requesting the stuck out tongue, but your animated one is fab! Just one or two suggestions, as doing both on the same emoticon is just a smidge busy:
Do the Quadra 605/APD as an animated wink . . .
Do the animated rolleyes alone and the stuck out tongue animation on another LC475 or even the IIci/cx/APD . . .
We've got too many smilies and not enough other choices all of a sudden! :lol:

One more suggestion, I'll post a pic of the SE/Radius FPD combo, which is very cool lookin' on its own . . .
. . . and lends itself to all kinds of animation choices based on the two screens interacting w/each other! }

I'd like to be the first to complain that having the new smilies buried behind the "View more smilies" link makes it far too much work to use the new smilies! I predict 68kmla membership will drop by 90% as a result of this!

What kind of beige prejudice is going on here? This is the 68K MLA and the original 68Ks were beige. Yet in order to post beige 68K Smilies, one must click the extra link.
Is it too much to ask that at least one beige smiley be included on the basic 1st page collection the way it used to be? Or have the Platinum-ites taken over? :beige:
